TIOGA DOWNS will host a leg of the Kindergarten Classic tonight, with each legf for freshmen pacers and trotters carrying a purse of $10,000.

The first of the Kindergarten races features two-year-old pacing colts and geldings. Trainer Tony Alagna will send two time winner Ideal Perception as well as Captain Barbosa to the starting gate.

Ideal Perception has won two New York Excelsior A series races in his six starts, while Captain Barbossa – a colt by Captaintreacherous from Swinging Beauty – has over $45,000 in his with four seconds and a third in eight starts.

The second Kindergarten race is for freshmen trotting colts and geldings will be headed by the John Butenschoen-trained Swipe Right, which also has two wins from seven outings.

Another dual winner, which is aiming for a hat-trick, Overised shapes the main danger for trainer George Ducharme.

The third Kindergarten race features two-year-old trotting fillies.

Winter Olympics is the one to beat based on her win in a leg of the Ontario Sire Stakes at Woodbine Mohawk Park on August 9th.

Trained by Ake Svanstedt, she also has a second from three starts for a bankroll of $35,000.

The last of four Kindergarten features for freshmen pacing fillies will be contested by a field of three, lead by the Nancy Johansson-trained Love For Sail, which is also Captaintreacherous.

To be driven by Autralian reinsman Andrew McCarthy, Love For Sail has a win and two placings from four starts.
