BIG spending owner Emilio Rosati has purchased the top Lot at today’s Premier Sale in Christchurch.
No stranger to buying the highest priced offering at yearling sales, the Australia-based Rosati parted with a whopping $190,000 for a colt by Bettor’s Delight from Chicago Blues.
Named Chicago Cub, the youngster is a brother to multiple Group One winner, Chicago Bull.
Chicago Bull has won 28 of his 47 starts, with 14 placings and $1,404,479 in earnings also to his credit.
Yesterday, Rosati bought the top Lot at the trotting sale, paying $160,000 for a son of Love You and former top mare One Over Kenny.
The squaregaiter is expected to remain in New Zealand, with no decision made for today’s pacing purchase.
