Baby ready to rock ‘n roll in Cup

FRESH from her success in Mount Gambier’s flagship trotting event last weekend, rising star Rocknroll Baby is aiming for consecutive country cups on Sunday.
This time around the Greg Norman-trained mare is engaged in Kapunda’s feature, where she has drawn to lead throughout from the pole.
Rocknroll Baby has made a seamless transition to open company this season, with her victories including the Gramel and Hambletonian Cups.
“She is in top form and is a big chance again on the weekend,” Norman said. “The draw and handicaps have helped her, so I expect her to go very close.
“At times she can put in a rough stride, but she’s been on her best behaviour for a while now.
“She’s only baby still and is going against older horses, but if she trots, she’ll be hard to beat.”
Planning to give the daughter of Rock N Roll Heaven a few easy days following her upcoming assignment, Norman will then primed the four-year-old for the Port Pirie Trotters’ Cup in a fortnight.
“For now I will keep following the country cups with her, with Port Pirie next,” Norman said. “Further into the season she has the Breeders Crown in Victoria.”
