STAR pacer Chicago Bull will begin what shapes as an extremely busy campaign when he races at Gloucester Park on Friday night.

First-up for three weeks, Chicago Bull is poised to have an additional local start before being sent across the Nullarbor for the Victoria Cup.

Following his Tabcorp Park Melton engagement on October 13 Chicago Bull will then be taken to the Shaky Isles for the New Zealand Cup.

The son of Bettors Delight will then be back in Melbourne for the Inter Dominion in December before returning to Western Australia for the Summer Carnival.

“That’s the plan with him all going well,” Hall said. “He has a big few months ahead but he will be able to handle it.”

As for his pending assignment, Chicago Bull has drawn barrier seven in the Navy Cup.

Winner of his last seven starts, the six-year-old is a prohibitive $1.10 favourite with The Bucket List considered his main danger at $11 from gate two.

Chicago Bull won last season’s Cup by 12-and-a-half after beginning from the outside of the front row.

“He has been working like normal and feels as good as ever,” Hall said. “After this week he will race again in a fortnight which will have him right where I want him for the Victoria Cup and beyond.”
