CHARGES have been issued against a pair of Maryborough Harness Racing Club officials.
Harness Racing Victoria have issued two charges against club President Peter Egan and one against General Manager Les Chapman.
The charges relate to a MHRC bank account which was held for a “considerable amount of time”, but is alleged to have not been included in the club’s financial records until 2015.
The independent members of HRV’s Integrity Council have been commissioned by the board to hear and determine the matter on October 10, 2018.
When contacted, HRV’s Integrity Department and Egan were unable to elaborate on the matter.
“I can’t say anything while this is in the hands of the legal system,” Egan commented.
