REIGNING champion King Of Swing is still a dominant favourite with TAB to win Saturday’s Garrards Miracle Mile at Tabcorp Park Menangle, however, the move early has been for exciting four-year-old, Bondi Lockdown.
TAB installed King Of Swing at $1.50 favourite after last night’s barrier draw after he came up with the pole as he attempts to become the first triple Miracle Mile winner.
Regarded by many as the main threat to King Of Swing and his Belinda McCarthy-trained stablemate Spirit Of St Louis, Bondi Lockdown has drawn wide on the front row, which saw TAB shifting his price out to $11 after it was as low as $5.50 pre-draw.
That price was too good to pass up for a handful of punters who immediately started chipping away at the Aaron Dunn-trained and driven entire.
Coming into $6, Bondi Lockdown has eased slightly to be a $7 third pick.
One customer is banking on a huge run from Bondi Lockdown after placing two multis involving the Chariots Of Fire runner-up and also New South Wales Derby favourite, Leap Of Faith. Should both horses win, the customer will pick up a tick over $17,000.
