WESTERN Australian star Chicago Bull has been installed the early Melbourne Inter Dominion favourite after nominations were released today.
Runner-up behind Lazarus in last season’s Perth edition of the Championship, Chicago Bull is in sensational from for trainer Gary Hall, winning his last eight starts.
The six-year-old is due to arrive in Melbourne next week in preparation for the Victoria Cup at Tabcorp Park Melton on October 13.
Chicago Bull will then be taken across the Tasman for the New Zealand Cup in November before returning to Melbourne for the Inter Dominion in December.
Of the 104 nominations Chicago Bull sits at the top of Tabcorp’s market at $6, with Let It Ride the only other contender under double figures.
Successful at his last six starts before being sent for a spell, Let It Ride’s victories include The Blacks A Fake for New South Wales trainer Tim Butt.
Last season’s ‘Cups King’ Shadow Sax is the best rated local at $11.
Winning 11 of his 14 starts for the term, with two placings also in the mix, Shadow Sax secured the South Australia, Geelong, Stawell, Cranbourne and Horsham Cups for trainer Emma Stewart.
