A FAVOURABLE draw should enable Mornings to maintain her perfect Tasmanian record in Hobart on Friday night.
Successful at her three starts on the Apple Isle for trainer Ben Yole, Mornings has drawn to lead throughout from barrier three.
Thrilled with the addition to his stable, Yole rates the daughter of Dawn Ofa New Day close to unbeatable.
“She beat almost the identical field by 15 metres last start, so I can’t see her being beaten,” Yole said. “She has trained on great since her last start and is feeling terrific.
“Her owner sent her here as we already had her half-sister, Gems, which won her first few starts for us.
“Mornings came here in great order and has gone on with the job perfectly.”
Considering sending the three-year-old for a short break following her pending engagement, Yole believes Mornings can be competitive in various feature races during summer.
Long term Yole hopes the filly can make her way into the Tasmania Oaks, which is scheduled to be conducted in Hobart on April 5.
“I will probably give her a freshen-up after the weekend, then have a look at some of the better races during the Christmas/New Year period,” Yole said.
“So far she has only raced over the sprint trip, but hopefully she can get over more distance and have a look at races such as the Oaks.”
