    IT’S Australasia’s most prestigious sprint.

So prestigious in fact, only eight of the southern hemisphere’s best pacers gain a start in the time-honoured event.

If you haven’t figured it out, the race in question is the famed Miracle Mile, which is scheduled to be conducted at Club Menangle on Saturday night.

Of the eight, two are from New Zealand, with another two owned by their breeder.

Taking those four out of the equation leaves another four stars chasing the lion’s share of the $1million on offer.

Sold by their breeders, the ‘Fab Four’ were all purchased through one company – Australian Pacing Gold.

To spell it out, every runner in this weekend’s Miracle Mile sold in Australia was done via APG!

Collectively the quartet have won 11 Group Ones, nine Group Twos and nine Group Threes.

From 139 starts, the ‘awesome foursome’ have registered 71 wins, 17 seconds and 11 thirds for earnings of $2,548,762.

That’s a winning ratio of 51.8 per cent, top three finishes at 71.2 per cent or an average of $18,336 per start,

Two are last start winners, while the other two were runner-ups, in $250,000 and $100,000 features.

APG wishes the connections of Catch A Wave, Captain Ravishing, Expensive Ego and Mach Dan all the best in the $1million Garrards Miracle Mile.
