EXCITING young trotter Jaxnme is in a strong position to capture her second Group One at Tabcorp Park Melton on Friday night.
Winner of last month’s Home Grown Classic for trainer Russell Jack, Jaxnme is engaged in one of six Vicbred Super Series Finals.
Successful in her heat, the daughter of Andover Hall has drawn to lead throughout from barrier three.
“She is good out of the gate so she’ll be going forward at the start,” Jack said. “Whether she can cross Pink Galahs from two we’ll have to wait and see.
“I’ve got the best driver (Gavin Lang) in the race driving her, so he’ll work it out once they get going.
“She’s come through her heat run fine and has been working as good as ever…nothing much changes with her!”
Citing Pink Galahs as the one to beat, Jack also rates Dizzysjet and Venkman as major threats.
Pink Galahs was a debut winner in her series heat, while Dizzysjet was also triumphant in her qualifier.
Prepared by Patrick Ryan, Dizzysjet will come from the outside of the front row.
Among the placings at her two starts, Venkman has drawn awkwardly in gate six.
“Pink Galahs was impressive first up and should be better for the run,” Jack said. “It is the one to beat.
“Dizzysjet is racing in good form and Venkman has come home well in her starts.”
Bred and owned by Graeme Love, Debbie Jack and Brocq Robertson, Jaxnme boasts three wins and a debut third from four starts.
