REINSWOMAN Kima Frenning’s bitter-sweet relationship with appeals continued today.

For the second time this season Frenning has had her appeal dismissed but been allowed to drive in a Grand Circuit event.

Handed a two-week sentence by stewards under Rule R163(1)(a)(iii) at Bendigo on 7 September, Frenning drove on a stay before having her appeal heard on October 10.

Although the appeal was dismissed, to Frenning’s delight the suspension was ruled to begin at midnight on October 13 – three hours after the Victoria Cup – meaning she could partner Wrappers Delight in the Group One.

Appearing before the HRV Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board today, Frenning was appealing against the severity of a four-week suspension imposed by stewards at Tabcorp Park Melton on January 4.

Again Frenning’s case was dismissed, but was ruled to start on Monday, clearing the way for her to partner Buster Brady in tomorrow night’s A G Hunter Cup.

Also trained by Frenning, the son of Real Desire is a $26 shot with TAB Fixed Odds after drawing barrier four.

Frenning plans to take her appeal against the four-week suspension to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
