CONENCTIONS of well-bred filly Goodtime Grace hope she can match the feat of one of her famous relatives this month.
By Mach Three, Goodtime Grace is from Art De Triomphe, which is a sister to former top youngster Follow The Stars.
Successful at 19 of his 29 starts, with nine placings also to his credit, Follow The Stars captured 2014 Australian Pacing Gold Final at Tabcorp Park Melton.
Stefsbest, a half-brother to Art De Triomphe and Follow The Stars, won an APG heat at Melton last season before finishing second in the Final.
On Saturday night, Goodtime Grace will venture the same venue to tackle a qualifier of the rich futurity for trainer Courtney Slater.
Should all go according to plan, the two-year-old will then contest the $350,000 at Menangle Final on April 28.
As for her pending assignment, Goodtime Grace has drawn barrier three, with Glen Craven to take the reins.
“I’ve been very pleased with everything she has done so far and expect her to be competitive,” Slater said. “She’s had two starts for two thirds and is improving as she goes along.
“On exposed form Soho Malibu is the one to beat from barrier two, but we’ll be doing our best.”
