NUMBERS for the upcoming Inter Dominion continue to fall.
Following the second payment deadline today, both divisions have been reduced again.
Originally attracted 55 nominations, the Pacers’ Championship was down to 30 contenders when the final rankings were released earlier this week.
At payment time, however, there are only 26 remaining in contention.
Power couple Mark Purdon and Natalie Rasmussen prepare three of the top five ranked hopefuls – Cruz Bromac at one, Chase Auckland at three and Thefixer at four.
Aussie stars Colt Thirty One and Bling It One sit at two and five.
The Trotters’ Championship began with 66 nominations, with 37 falling by the wayside.
Of the 29 remaining, last week’s Dominion Trot winner Habibi Inta sits at the top of the table.
Three Aussies occupy position within the top five.
Thanks to his victory in last week’s Group One Trotting Free-For-All, Tough Monarch is at two.
Listed at $21 when markets first opened, the Rickie Alchin-trained gelding is at $7 with TAB Fixed Odds.
Mclovin, which finished second behind Tough Monarch, is the fourth ranked squaregaiter, with Big Jack Hammer at five.
