AN INTERSTATE trip is on the cards for rising star Izaha.
Having successfully defended his Tasbred title in Devonport tonight, Izaha has been earmarked for a New South Wales campaign.
Planning to take the entire’s talented stablemate Harjeet across Bass Strait, trainer Todd Rattray is set to bring Izaha along as a travelling companion.
“At this stage he’ll head to New South Wales when Harjeet goes,” Rattray said. “It’ll give him a chance to win an M0 and pick up some nice money along the way.
“I’ll see how he comes through this run, but that is the plan with him.
“Harjeet has been working up really well and isn’t far away from a return.”
Driven by Rattray during his latest win, Izaha began quickly to lead from barrier three, with the remainder of the $50,000 feature becoming a formality.
Never fully extended, the son of Roll With Joe cruised to a soft five-and-a-half metre win from Peaceful Thomas, with Yatsenyuk Leis 18 metres away third.
“He did it easily in his heat and had been working great this week, so I expected him to be hard to beat” Rattray said.
“He had a good draw and was to make the most of it.”
Rating 2:01.3 over 2665 metres, the four-year-old stretched his record to 13 wins and five placings from 22 starts for earnings of $124,513.
