A NEW season, a fresh batch of juvenile features and a very familiar result.
That’s the scenario heading into tomorrow night’s Tabcorp Park Melton program.
With a pair of Empire Stallions Home Grown Classics on the card, leading trainer Emma Stewart is once again poised to dominate.
Stewart has three runners in the Group Twos, with Shez All Rock the one to beat despite her awkward draw in the fillies’ division.
Successful in her heat – which doubled as her debut – Shez All Rock will begin from barrier six, but that hasn’t prevented the daughter of Rock N Roll Heaven from being installed a $1.90 favourite.
Pleased with the Australian Pacing Gold graduate’s recent win, Stewart is positive Shez All Rock will improve for the decider.
“She did very well in her heat and has taken a lot of benefit from the run,” Stewart said. “Her work has been terrific and she will definitely be better again this week.
“She a nice type which will continue to improve with experience.”
Also by Rock N Roll Heaven, Yankee Roller has won his three starts in impressive fashion, with Stewart expecting the gelding to extend his perfect record despite drawing the inside of the second row.
“He’s done everything we’ve asked from him and is improving all the time,” Stewart said. “The draw isn’t the best, but he is capable of overcoming it.”
Rating stablemate Best Of Beauty as a solid chance from barrier four, Stewart regards Bettor Beau as the one to beat.
Winner of his two starts, Bettor Beau will come from gate five for trainer Michael Hughes.
“Best Of Beauty won upon debut and did well when second in his heat behind Bettor Beau,” Stewart said. “He is a strong chance from the draw, which will see him come out of three with the emergency taken out.
“Bettor Beau appears to be a nice type and is the biggest threat.”
