FORMER champion pacer Mr Feelgood is enjoying a stellar start to the season as a stallion.
With 15 of his progeny making their way into the winners’ circle Mr Feelgood is positioned at the top of the Queensland Sires’ Premiership.
It’s a fitting place for the multi-millionaire to be!
Not only does he reside in Queensland – at Egmont Park to be precise – Mr Feelgood registered biggest ‘Down Under’ victory in the Sunshine State.
Successful in the famed Little Brown Jug during his American career, Mr Feelgood captured the southern hemisphere’s ‘Holy Grail’ the Inter Dominion in 2009.
Ironically, in doing to Mr Feelgood beat Queensland’s other idol – Blacks A Fake – denying him a fourth consecutive win in the series.
Such was the stallion’s ability to adapt to Australian racing and extra distance, he also secured the A G Hunter Cup – the nation’s premier two-mile standing start event.
As for his siring feats, along with his status as the premiership leader, Mr Feelgood added another $100,000 earner to his credit when Bonnie Jujon raced at Redcliffe yesterday.
