PROMINENT horseman Anton Golino is hoping for a two-state feature double on Saturday night.

While he will make the trip to Tabcorp Park Menangle where he has a pair of representatives in a Group Two, Golino also has a runner in one of the main events closer to home in Melton.

“I can’t be in two places at once, so I’ll be heading to Menangle,” Golino said. “With a bit of luck we’ll manage to get a win in both places though.”

Golino is making the interstate trek to contest the New South Wales Trotters’ Derby with Brandlo Prince and All Cashed Up.

Both winners at their last two starts, the three-year-olds are expected to play major roles in the Blue Riband.

All Cashed Up is the $2.50 favourite with TAB Fixed Odds despite drawing barrier nine, with Brandlo Prince among the outsiders at $15 from gate five.

Despite the difference in odds, Golino stated little separates the pair in ability.

“There is not much between them,” Golino said. “They’re both pretty good and ready to win.

“The draw hasn’t been favourable, especially to All Cashed Up, but it’s what we’ve got and we have to do our best to overcome it.

“It’s a strong field with plenty of nice young trotters including The Penny Drops from two and Kyvalley Clichy, which won the Breeders’ Crown last year for Brent (Lilley, trainer) from barrier four.”

In Melton Golino will rely on Parisian Opera which has drawn the pole in the Vicbred Metropolitan Final.

Winner of her last five starts, the daughter of Ready Cash is a $2.10 favourite with TAB Fixed Odds.

“That is a good spot for her” Golino said. “She went really well last week and just keeps getting better.

“She was mad as a baby, a nutcase, and even now can be a handful, but she’s got a good motor and should make her way to the top level.

“Magicool will be the main threat if we lead and he sits on us and Andy’s (Gath, Chief Runningcloud) is also in good form.”
