TALENTED pacer Thats Perfect is in a prime position to match the feats of some of his better-known family members at Globe Derby on Saturday night.

Poised to contest one of four Southern Cross Finals, Thats Perfect has drawn to lead throughout from barrier two.

Should the son of Art Major capture the Group Two, he will be the third youngster from his clan to register consecutive victories in the futurity.

Thats Perfect’s close relatives Beauty Secret and Rocknroll Magic are dual winners of the futurity, with seven members of the family gracing the various Southern Cross honour rolls.

Beauty Secret was triumphant in 2011 before returning in 2012, while Rocknroll Magic was victorious in 2015 and ’16.

“The bloodline has enjoyed so much success in the series,” trainer Emma Stewart said. “Hopefully that will continue to be the case this weekend.

“Thats Perfect is also closely-related to Best Of Beauty and Shes Fine, which I have in the Finals.

“With a bit of luck there will be a couple more members of the family on the honour roll by the end of the night.”

Thats Perfect heads into the decider fresh from his heat win when he scored with ease from Dont Tell William and Clarenden Valour after finding the lead from barrier four.

Best Of Beauty – a son of Beauty Secret – is in the same division, having made his way into the Final when runner-up behind local hope, Bulletproof Boy.

By Mach Three, Best Of Beauty faces a tough task from the middle of the back row.

“Thats Perfect has the right draw and will be very hard to get past,” Stewart said. “Best Of Beauty’s draw isn’t the best, but if gets the right passage along, he will be right up there.”
