IN WHAT could be his last start this campaign, handy pacer Torque Tothe Starz is expected to continue his impressive South Australian record on Saturday night.
Having had seven starts for leading trainer Ryan Hryhorec, the son of Four Starzzz Shark has registered four wins and two placings.
Set to compete at Globe Derby, Torque Tothe Starz will begin from barrier five, with Hryhorec positive the gelding is ready to win.
“He’s a nice horse, which will go very well,” Hryhorec said. “I’m keen to get him into the paddock, but while he’s going well, I’ll keep pushing on with him.
“I can’t see any reason why he won’t win on the weekend, but he still has to get out there and get the job done.
“He’ll go for a spell soon and should go through the grades quite easily next time in.”
Hryhorec also has Live For Peace engaged at the meeting, with the well-performed gelding to start from gate three.
A lightly-raced youngster, Live For Peace boasts seven wins and a third from 11 outings.
“It’s a bit of a tricky draw for him as there is some speed around him,” Hryhorec said. “It’s hard to see where he may settle in the run.
“He’s racing really well and will be in the finish with the right run.”
