BE WARNED – Tiger Tara is ready to roar!
Although first-up since his Miracle Mile fifth last March, Tiger Tara is primed to make a winning return according to trainer Kevin Pizzuto.
Set to contest the highest ranked event on the Tabcorp Park Menangle card, Tiger Tara will begin from his customary outside of front row position.
With the exception of the last two Miracle Mile Carnivals, Tiger Tara has begun from the outside of the front at the venue since July 2017.
Add second row draws to the equation and Tiger Tara hasn’t drawn closer to the pegs on the front row since April 2017!
“He’s back and ready to race and back to his reserved barrier,” Pizzuto said.
“I couldn’t be happier with him. He is feeling as good as any time I’ve had him ready to race first-up.
“His work has been terrific and he’s forward enough to win.
“That said, anything can happen at Menangle so he still has to get out there and get the job done.”
Should Tiger Tara perform to expectation Pizzuto will take the stallion to Queensland for The Blacks A Fake at Albion Park on July 20.
Pizzuto was planning to make the interstate trip with Majordan for this weekend’s Sunshine Sprint.
“I brought Tiger Tara back in work for The Blacks A Fake which is the last leg of the Grand Circuit,” Pizzuto said. “After that he may even go back out for another short break.
“Majordan was in Saturday night’s Sunshine Sprint, but I just haven’t been happy with him since his last run and he will have a couple of weeks off instead.
“He may have been pushed a little too quick to be ready to the Len Smith Mile, which he won, but has been flattened by it.”
