TOLD YA!
IN THE words of my late father “Told ya!”
Even if he had never uttered a word in relation to an incident or possible outcome, my father would claim he told you.
Well, in the case of Brad Chisholm….we “told ya”.
On Thursday www.nationaltrotguide.com.au published an article following Chisholm’s win in Shepparton the previous night, with trainer Greg Lewis noting the young reinsman is “deadest underused”.
Lewis’ comments were echoed by Anthony Butt who stated Chisholm “doesn’t get a lot of opportunities, but he is a good thinking driver who just needs that one good horse to make people notice, which is so often the case.”

Regular reinsman for the Kim Procter stable, the horsewoman said “I can’t believe more people don’t put Brad on their horses”.
Those who took notice will be laughing as they count their winnings from Tabcorp Park Melton last night.
As mentioned in the article, Chisholm’s last 10 drives had an average starting price of $30.70, well the 24-year-old topped that by scoring with $51 rank outsider Fynn Frost at his first drive since the original article…so, yes, Told ya!
Settling the son of Always A Virgin towards the tail of the field from his second line draw, Chisholm was forced to take Fynn Frost to the extreme outside around the final bend.
Quickly sprinting to the front, the gelding momentarily broke stride before regaining balance to score by a half-neck from Ozzie Playboy.
Over The Odds was a metre away third in 1:57.9 over 2240 metres.
“Down the back I knew I had them covered as he was travelling so well,” Chisholm said. “He has galloped a few times in his last handful of starts, and I thought if he was going to do it, it was while he was going full speed out wide on the turn.
“It was once he straightened up he broke and I thought he’d blown it.
“Luckily he got down quickly and was just able to hold on.”
Trained by Andy Gath, Fynn Frost would have to be one of the rare winners which were then stood down for a trial by stewards!
