Top reinswomen to clash in Invitational

FRESH from registering a quartet at Melton last night, Kerryn Manning has been named as part of a stellar line-up to contest the Lady Drivers’ Race at Tabcorp Park Menangle.

The invitational will be conducted during the Miracle Mile program, which also includes the Ladyship Mile, New South Derby and Oaks, on February 24.

The world’s most successful horsewoman – thoroughbreds included – Manning will be joined by Inter Dominion winning trainer-driver, Natalie Rasmussen.

Rasmussen’s appearance in the feature relies on a successful appeal against a three-week suspension she received by Harness Racing Victoria stewards last weekend after steering Heaven Rocks into third in the A G Hunter Cup.

The two raiders will clash with a host of locals, including defending champion Martelle Maguire.

Maguire will be joined by Ashlee Grives, Angela Hedges, Ellen Rixon, Lauren Tritton, Amanda Turnbull, Emma Turnbull and KerryAnn Turner.
