PREMIER trainer Emma Stewart has completed another Breeders’ Crown demolition.

Dominating the futurity like no other, Stewart made a clean sweep of the pacing Finals in Melton tonight to continue her phenomenal association with the series.

Successful in 14 of the 16 qualifiers during the past few weeks, Stewart captured four Finals, with her haul including a quinella and trifecta.

Stewart’s Breeders’ Crown record is nothing short of incredible, for example…last season she won 10 of the 13 heats for two and three-year-old pacers, seven semis and three Finals.

In 2021 Stewart captured eight of 13 heats, five of eight semis and three Finals.

It was a similar case in 2020 as Stewart and her partner Clayton Tonkin secured 10 of the 13 heats, six of the eight semis and two Finals!

A year earlier, Stewart notched wins in seven of the nine heats, five of the eight semis and two Finals.

If that isn’t impressive enough, Stewart won all nine heats in 2018 before securing six of the eight semis and three Finals.

Overall, between 2018 and tonight, Stewart has won 84 of the 112 pacing races for two and three-year-olds at a strike rate of 68.85.

“It has been an amazing night for the team and is the result of a lot of hard work,” Stewart said. “I couldn’t be happier with the way they all went.

“We are especially happy for our owners as these are the kind of races any owner wants to be a part of, so it is always great when we can work towards delivering that.”

For the record, Stewart’s winners were Timmy Rictor, Perfect Class, Major Delight and Very Pretty, which maintained her unbeaten record from five starts.

HOOFNOTE: Stewart also won tonight’s Melton Sprint with Like A Wildfire and had the $1.50 favourite, Treachery, engaged in the Breeders’ Crown Mares’ Free-For-All in the last race on the card as this article went to press.
