Duo equal unique Inter Dominion record

VICTORIAN duo Gotfeelingsyouknow and Rockinwithattitude equalled a unique Inter Dominion record just moments ago.

Contesting a heat at Albion Park, the squaregaiters crossed the line locked together, with the judge declaring a dead-heat.

It is only the second occasion a dead-heat has occurred during the time honoured trotters’ series.

During the second round of the 2012 Victorian-based Championship, I Didnt Do It and I Can Doosit were inseparable in Ballarat over 21710 metres.

Also triumphant on the opening night, I Can Doosit won the Final for co-trainers Mark Purdon and Grant Payne.

Completing consecutive Inter Dominion victories, I Can Doosit was denied the opportunity for a record third crown when the trotters’ division was erased from the calendar.

Harness Racing Victoria revived the series in 2018.

As for Gotfeelingsyouknow and Rockinwithattitude, the latter led from three, with the former gaining the perfect trail from the pole.

Finishing along the sprint lane, Gotfeelingsyouknow grabbed a share of the lead in the final stride, with defending champion Arcee Phoenix four metres away third.
