AUSTRALIAN reinsman Andy McCarthy sat behind six winners Wednesday as Magical Acres held 14 qualifiers for two-year-old pacers and trotters.

McCarthy’s victories included the day’s fastest mile, a 1:56.3 score with Linda Toscano-trained female pacer Allegra Hanover. It was the filly’s second winning qualifier this month, following a 1:58.1 triumph on June 18 at Harrah’s Philadelphia.

Allegra Hanover, a daughter of Papi Rob Hanover-Arodasi, was purchased for $90,000 at the Standardbred Horse Sale and is owned by Jablonsky Held Stable, South Mountain Stables, JAF Racing, and Camelot Stable. She was bred by Hanover Shoe Farms.

McCarthy had two wins for both Tom Cancelliere and Noel Daley, plus one victory for Chuck Sylvester. Cancelliere, Daley, Sylvester, Nik Drennan, and Chris Ryder all finished the day with two wins.

Cancelliere’s filly pacer Sheila Sazs won in 1:57 after finishing third, timed in 1:58.3, on June 12 at Magical Acres. A daughter of Papi Rob Hanover and first foal out of If Ur Richimsingle, the filly is owned by breeder John Cancelliere. Her third dam is Hall of Fame broodmare Stienam’s Place, the dam of Dan Patch Award-winner Put On A Show and grandam of millionaire It’s My Show.

McCarthy’s other win for Cancelliere came with male pacer Pack A Punch, who captured his qualifying debut in 2:00. The son of Tall Dark Stranger-Power Pack Hanover also is owned by breeder John Cancelliere.

Daley won with male pacer Its Gonna Feelgood and female trotter Cloudy Bay Hanover, both in their debuts.

Its Gonna Feelgood, a son of Always B Miki-Passing Fancy purchased for $85,000 at the Standardbred Horse Sale, won in 2:00.3 for owners Patricia Stable, L.A. Express Stable, Michael Dolan, and Sjoblom Racing. He was bred by Roll The Dice Stable.

Completing McCarthy’s list of winners was Sylvester’s male trotter Lefties Righties, who won in 2:02.4 in his debut. Purchased for $60,000 at the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale, the son of Greenshoe-Swizzle Sticks is owned by Sylvester, Charles Stansley, Lenavitt Investments, and John Licausi. He was bred by Steve Jones and his family includes 2022 Trotter of the Year Bella Bellini.

Sylvester also won with debuting male trotter PA Missle in 2:01.1. The colt, a son of Father Patrick-Global Inspiration, was purchased for $25,000 at the Standardbred Horse Sale. He is owned by Sylvester, Stansley, Lenavitt Investments, and David Reid. He was bred by Mahantongo Farms.

Drennan’s winners were female pacers Youllfindout in 1:57.3 and Lovely Alexa in 1:58.3.
