Loyalties will be split

ADMITTING her loyalties will be split, Yvette Zitterbart believes there is a more important reason for a certain result than her enjoying a win.

As a trainer, Zitterbart will be represented by Plutus at Globe Derby on Monday.

Racing in solid form, Plutus was successful at the same venue last week, with his victory following a pair of placings.

The son of Tintin In America will begin from barrier four.

As an owner, Zitterbart has Village Character in the same race, with the filly drawn gate six!

Also in top form, the daughter of Village Jolt has won her last two starts for prominent horsewoman Ingrid Smith.

Smith is the wife of respected reinsman David, who was part of the horrific crash in Mildura last week.

One of four drivers tipped from the sulky, David suffered a broken wrist and back fracture.

“It will be hard cheering on either of them,” Zitterbart said. “If I win as a trainer, I lose as an owner and vice versa!

“I know getting a win would be a great lift for David and that’s a pretty good way of looking at it.”

Zitterbart isn’t the only one who will have their loyalty split, with Smith’s son, Michael, to drive Plutus!
