Wally should be easy to find

CONNECTIONS of Theres Wally hope he won’t be too hard to find at Club Menangle today.

Should all go according to plan, Theres Wally will be spotted leading the field across in the finish in race four.

After that, Theres Wally will be seen in the winners’ circle!

Theres Wally has been missing from the number one stall since scoring at the world class venue on September 22.

“With a bit of luck things will go his way,” trainer Mike Reed said. “The winners’ circle has been hard to find lately, but hopefully that will change this week.

“He is going better than what his form looks like on paper…he’s just had no luck up in grade.

“This is a drop back in grade on what he has been racing, so it should suit him.

“Overall, he has been a good money spinner for me, easily paid his way, so I can’t complain.”

To be driven by Jye Coney, Theres Wally has drawn to search for the lead from barrie four.

Confident the son of Shoobees Place can find the front, Reed explained Theres Wally is often suited to being driven ‘with a sit’.

“He’s got a bit of gate speed, so we will put that to use,” Reed said. “He is a better horse with a sit, so we’ll see what else come out with him.”

ELSEWHERE on the card, exciting freshman Showmethetanlines will take on older rivals for trainer Adam Kelly.

Boasting three wins and a third from four starts, Showmethetanlines has been kept fresh since winning the Tatlow Stake at Club Menangle on November 29.

With Bailey McDonough to take the reins, the son of Downbytheseaside has also drawn gate four.
