ANOTHER program crammed with Group Ones, and as you’d expect, a collection of Australian Pacing Gold graduates in the thick of the action.

Tabcorp Park Melton is poised to host a whopping 12 Group Ones on New Year’s Eve, with six dedicate to pacers.

Those half-dozen top shelf events will see 18 APG purchases chasing the lion’s share of the money, including Maajida, which is aiming for a hat-trick in the futurity.

Trained by Emma Stewart, Maajida was triumphant in the two and three-year-old divisions and is a hot favourite in the four-year-old decider.

Stewart also has Our Little Jet in the two-year-old fillies’ series, with the youngster a half-sister to multiple Group One winner and APG ‘family member’, Our Little General.

On the topic of relatives, Lightning Dan is aiming to join his sibling, Centenario, on the two-year-old Vicbred honour roll.

The premier two-year-old of his crop, Centenario captured the 2018 Final – the same year he won the $350,000 APG Final.

APG graduates in the various Finals are Maajida, Nonparreil, Petillante, Our Little Jet, Joanna, Dangerous Hand, Rogue Wave, Bondi Lockdown, Narutac Prince, Yambukian, Lightning Dan, Flash Jimmy, Captain Rival, Repelling, Brutally Handsome, Khafaji, Rocco Americano and Jay Ok.
