FAMED breeding establishment Alabar Bloodstock has released all the information relating to its next round of yearlings to be sold.
Fresh from a bumper result during the recent New Zealand National Standardbred Sale, Alabar is putting together the final touches for the Nutrien Sale in Sydney.
Alabar has eight Lots ready to go ‘under the hammer’ on March 5 – the day after Club Menangle hosts Australasia’s premier sprint, the $1million Garrards Miracle Mile.
Of the ‘Exalted eight’, Lot 91 is the only filly in the southern hemisphere boasting a Group One dam, while being a sister to a Group One winner!
By Always B Miki, the leggy lass is from Joyfuljoy, which began her career in New Zealand before ending her days on the track in America.
During her time on the Shaky Isle, Joyfuljoy was successful in a pair of top shelf events – the Sires’ Stake Final and Three-Year-Old Diamond.
As a matron, Joyfuljoy has a perfect record from two starters, including Joyful, which completed a clean sweep of last season’s Vicbred Super Series for two-year-old fillies.
While Lot 91 separates herself among Alabar’s eight via pedigree, Lot Three stands alone so much on looks we’ve decided to dub her Scarlett!
By outstanding sire Sweet Lou, the filly is from Abettorrose, which was a handy racemare.
In fact, Abettorrose was triumphant in the Group Two Pink Bonnet in 2015, with this year’s edition of the feature to be run at Club Menangle tomorrow night.
A sensational looking youngster, Lot Three comes complete with white blaze and white hind legs.
Alabar’s remaining Lots – all complete with superb bloodlines – are Lots 87, 89, 144, 164, 188 and 205.
