Looking to extend perfect Cup record

HAVING maintained his perfect Ararat record last weekend, Greg Norman is hoping to extend his unblemished Terang strike rate when he ventures to the provincial circuit tomorrow night.

Making a rare Ararat trip, Norman prepared Zadaka to cause an upset in the club’s Pacing Cup.

With Jodi Quinlan in the cart the son of Mach Three scored at the lucrative odds of $54.50 on the Tote.

In what is his second stint with Norman, Zadaka has had nine starts for three wins and two placings.

“I was surprised he paid so much at Ararat,” Norman said. “I didn’t think his form looked that bad on paper.

“I haven’t been to Ararat all that often and so far I come home with a win when I do…be nice if that continues!”

Zadaka will aim for another feature upset when he contests Terang’s flagship event over 2680 metres.

To be driven by Kerryn Manning, the gelding has drawn barrier five but comes into four with the removal of the emergency.

Like his previous appearance, Zadaka is among the outsiders at $81 on TAB Fixed Odds.

Nancys Boy at $151 is the only runner at higher odds.

“I’m not sure he should be paying that much, but this is a harder race,” Norman said.

“I’ve only been to Terang once and that was for the Cup in 2010 which I won with Ti Vogliobene.

“Be nice if I can keep my perfect record at Terang too!”
