One for all and all for one!

WITH his three runners returning the identical result at Globe Derby last weekend, Greg Scholefield hopes the trio can continue the trend when they head to the troubled venue tomorrow night – but with one distinct difference.

Each first-up from a spell, Hes The Judge, Labella Rock and Emain Macha all finished fifth.

This time around Scholefield’s desire is to have the stablemates make their way into the winners’ circle.

“It would be nice if they can all win this week,” Scholefield said. “They managed to fill the same placing last Saturday night and that’s fine if they do it again…just this time as winners!

“They were all in need of the run and have worked on well this week so I do expect each of them to improve.”

In what is an open field, Hes The Judge has drawn to settle in a prominent position from the pole.

“He should be able to get a good trip from there,” Scholefield said. “Whether he is pushed out to try for the lead or eased out for a trail is up to Wayne (Hill, driver) on the night.”

In the following race consistent mare Labella Rock will begin from barrier two, with Hill to partner the daughter of Pet Rock.

“I’ve been particularly happy with her work,” Scholefield said. “From that draw she should be right in the finish.”

Stable star Emain Macha will then tackle the final event on the card.

A dual South Australian Horse of the Year, Emain Macha has drawn the widest of the six runners.

“He always takes a couple of runs to get back to his best, but he is forward enough to win this,” Scholefield said.

“Without wanting to sound cavalier, he should have the measure of the others in the race.”
