“Turn It Up has been here for a couple of months but has just taken longer to come up,” Rasmussen said. “He’s got bad feet problems, which is why he has been sent here.
“Hopefully he can stay sound and recapture his best form as we look at major races over the summer beginning with The Blacks A Fake here in December.”
As for his pending assignment, Turn It Up will begin from the outside of the second row over 2138 metres.
A trial winner in 1:52.3 over 1660 metres three weeks ago, Turn It Up is the equal second favourite with Our Uncle Sam at $4.20.
Our Uncle Sam will also begin from the back line.
Local star Colt Thirty One heads the market at $2.50 from barrier seven.
“He had two strong trials and his work has been great,” Rasmussen said. “He’s as fit as he can be without racing and whatever he does tomorrow night he will improve on.
“We expect him to run a forward race and be right in the finish even from the draw.”
