FRESH from registering a personal milestone during the weekend, Sofia Arvidsson is hoping for more glory before she heads off for a well-earned spell.

Combining with stable newcomer Polly Put Kettleon at Club Menangle on Saturday night, Arvidsson notched her 100th driving success.

A Sweden import, Arvidsson began her Australian career during the 2019/20 season.

“It was a great result all round,” Arvidsson said. “I am pretty pleased to get my 100th win, but also very happy to see Polly win first-up.

“She had been working well at home, so I thought she’d be a good chance, but she was drawn wide and it was her first race at Menangle, where the tempo is different.”

Arvidsson had no reason for concern as Polly Put Kettleon covered the mile in 1:51.8 to account for Chevrons Bypass and B K Swy.

Fast forward to tomorrow’s Club Menangle program and Arvidsson is hoping for another win before flying to Sweden the following morning.

Also making her debut for Arvidsson, Violetta Gift has drawn to settle prominently from barrier three.

“She should do well from there,” Arvidsson said. “I’m still working her out, but I am hoping for a good performance.

“It’s not an easy race for her as there a few in it which go alright.

“I’m going to Sweden on Wednesday so the team and I will have a couple of easy weeks.

“I’m heading over for the Elitlopp on Sunday and will catch up with friends and family while I’m there.”
