A SECOND row draw in Bendigo tomorrow night shouldn’t be enough to prevent Imsettogo from returning to the winners’ circle.
Unplaced during her recent start at the same venue, Imsettogo was triumphant at Tabcorp Park Melton at her previous outing.
Racing in solid form this preparation, the Anton Golino-trained trotter boasts five wins and a second from her last eight starts.
“Her last start can pretty much be overlooked as she never got into the race from her draw,” Golino said. “Not only did she come from six on the second row, the race was never run to suit those from behind.
“I then scratched her from what would have been her next start because she was a little off, but she’s back to her true self and ready to go.
“Barrier nine isn’t the best, but as long as she gets a good go at it she will be right in the finish.”
To be driven by talented concession reinsman Darby McGuigan, Imsettogo is the $4.40 second favourite with TAB Fixed Odds.
Emerald Stride sits at the top of the table at $2.25.
Trained by David Miles, Emerald Stride is also looking to return the winners’ circle from barrier five.
The pacing-bred daughter of Bettors Delight has been runner-up at her last two starts, which followed a victory in Shepparton.
“Emerald Stride is a nice mare which is going to be hard to beat,” Golino said. “There is a bit of form in the race and it’s quite even overall.
“I’m happy enough with her and now we’ll just have to see what kind of run she gets on the night.”
