Ready to break string of near misses

CONSISTENT mare La Bella Figura is well placed to break a frustrating run of near misses.

Runner-up during her last three starts, La Bella Figura is engaged in tonight’s Tabcorp Park Melton meeting for trainer Nick Edwards.

To be driven by popular young reinswoman Shannon O’Sullivan, the daughter of Louey Louey Louey has drawn barrier four

La Bella Figura slots into three with the removal of the emergency.

“I only got her a few months ago and she is coming along quite well,” Edwards said.

“She had one start as a two-year-old for her previous trainer before she was put away for another two years.

“So this is pretty much her first preparation and she is doing alright.

“I’ve been more than happy with her last three runs and with a bit of luck she can finally get that win on the board.”

With no major plans in mind for the four-year-old Edwards will “find the next suitable race”.

“I haven’t got anything particular set out for her,” Edwards said.

“Getting her first win on the board tonight would be a good start.”
