    IT HAS been a big couple of days for sires with their first crops racing as two-year-olds, with Poster Boy and Stay Hungry producing their first winners in Western Australia.

    Poster Boy sired his first winner when the filly Delulu won on debut at Pinjarra on Monday for the husband and wife training duo of Greg and Skye Bond.

    Delulu covered the 1684 metre trip in a slick 1:58.3 rate and came from three lengths off the leader at the 400 metres to win running away with the final quarter of the race being run in 28.5 seconds.

    Not to be outdone, Stay Hungry debutante Louie Vee led throughout at Gloucester Park on Tuesday evening covering the 1730 metre trip at a 1:55.6 rate for trainer/driver Robbie Williams and sprinting over the last 800 metres in 56.6 seconds.

    The wins were timely for vendors with yearlings by Poster Boy and Stay Hungry in the Nutrien Sydney Yearling Sale on March 10th.

    Regal Farm Bloodstock will offer a beautifully bred filly by Poster Boy as Lot 138 in the Sydney Sale.

    This filly is the first foal from an unraced Always B Miki half-sister to New Zealand Three-Year-Old Filly Pacer of the Year De Lovely p,3,1:54.0 $656,113 and also to the dam of Australian Two-Year-Old Pacer of the Year Catch A Wave p,1:48.8 $1,277,100.

    There are seven yearlings by Stay Hungry in the Nutrien Sydney Sale with three of the seven being offered by Brooklyn Lodge.

    Lot 38 is a half-brother to last season’s NSW Oaks winner Windy Hill Tara p,3,1:53.3 $197,069 being the third foal from the 12 time winning Artistic Fella mare Miss Artistic Tara p,1:52.3 $78,983.

    The second of the Brooklyn Lodge yearlings by Stay Hungry is Lot 56 which is a filly out of the unraced American Ideal mare One Last Shout.

    One Last Shout is a half-sister to five $100,000 earners in Atomic Red p,1:50.3 $422,556, Runaway Red p,1:53.5 $332,892, Power Of Red p,1:50.4 $288,425, Smooth Baht p,1:49.5 $255,715 and My Dandy p,1:54.4 $118,819.

    Lot 146, a colt, is the first foal from the lightly raced Art Major mare Dizygotic Lass which is a half-sister to Chariots of Fire winner Caribbean Blaster p,1:52.6 $1,113,677, War Dan p,1:50.0 $252,505 and to the dam of last month’s Group Two Ballarat Cup winner Kanena Provlima p,1:50.6 $270,604.

    Lochend Stud’s Carmody family have a pair of Stay Hungry yearlings in the Sydney sale – a filly and a colt.

    Lot 46 is a filly from the Mach Three mare My Sunday Girl p,1:56.5 $46,368 which has produced three winners including last week’s Albion Park winner Send It p,1:50.6 $285,107 and the 2023 three-year-old winner Smokeshow p,3,1:53.7.

    My Sunday Girl is a half-sister to superstar New Zealand pacer and Miracle Mile winner Spankem p,1:47.7 $1,902,079.

    The second of Lochend Stud’s Stay Hungry yearlings in the Sydney sale is a colt and he is the first foal from the Western Terror mare Sounds Of Terror p,1:52.4 $86,350.

    Sounds Of Terror won a heat of the NSW Breeders Challenge as a 2yo she is a half-sister to Soundsofcash p,3,1:55.1 $123,230.

    Joanne Andersen is preparing a Stay Hungry filly for Jean Hayes and it will enter the Inglis Centre’s sale ring as Lot 58.

    Lot 58 is a half-sister to six winners being out of the In The Pocket mare Onedin’s Pocketgirl p,1:56.0 $34,344.

    She is a half-sister to Inter Dominion consolation winner Pocket Of Terror p,1:50.2 $422,429 and Bathurst Gold Crown placegetter Sams The Master p,1:52.4 $233,918.

    Medowie Lodge will offer a Stay Hungry filly from the winning Live Or Die mare Counterfeit Cash p,1:56.5 as Lot 136.

    Counterfeit Cash is a half-sister to ten other winners including Group Two 3yo Queensland Nursery Pace winner Corporal Luna p,1:54.0 $220,874, Blackjack Bart p,1:55.7 $107,250 and Stylish Soiree p,3,1:54.0 $102,714.

    This filly is from the family of last week’s Hondo Grattan Stakes winner Don’t Stop Dreaming p,1:50.5 $626,445.
