RESULTS from the last 48 hours of metropolitan racing are a stark reminder on why it pays to buy from the prestigious Australian Pacing Gold Sales.

APG purchases were successful at each of the main meetings – Gloucester Park, Albion Park, Tabcorp Park Melton and Club Menangle.

The victors won races such as the Premier Stake in Melton…oh, and a little event called the Miracle Mile in Menangle.

Leading throughout the $1million sprint, APG graduate Catch A Wave took his record to 17 wins and a second from 22 starts for earnings of $1,123,120.

Catch A Wave covered the 1609-metre trip in 1:48.8.

On the other side of the Nullarbor, three Gloucester Park winners are destined to have an impact on today’s Perth APG Sale.

Adda Spoilt Major, Know When To Run and August Moon are from dams which have a yearling ready to enter the ring this afternoon.

Adda Spoilt Major is from Arconite, which will be represented by Lot 178 – a colt by promising stallion, Poster Boy.

Winner of the $50,000 APG Sale Classic for three-year-old fillies, August Moon’s dam – My Samantha Jane – also has a son up for sale, with the colt by Ultimate Machete listed as Lot 128.

Last but not least, Know When To Run’s mother – Heather Mary – is also the dam of Lot 208, a filly by Captain Crunch.
