MY HIGH EXPECTATIONS
Making his mark as a stallion
August 2, 2023 Paul Courts

GROUP One winner My High Expectations is beginning to make his mark as a sire.
From limited numbers, My High Expectations has produced a handful of winners, including Gait With Grace which proved too good at Albion Park yesterday.
Not only is Gait With Grace unbeaten from two starts, she led home a ‘My High Expectations quinella’!
Driven by Narissa McMullen, the trotter rated 2:05.9 for the 2138-metre stand to score from her Melissa Gillies-trained stablemate, Northern Heights.
Both two-year-olds were bred and are owned by Kathryn McLachlan.
Ironically, My High Expectations – an American-bred stallion – debuted with a second at Albion Park on April 12, 2010.
Sent south to New South Wales, My High Expectations won eight of his next 11 starts to complete a quick transition through the grades.
The son of Ken Warkentin was successful at Group Two and Three level before capturing the 2014 Group One Australasian Trotting Championship in Melton.
Continuing to compete at the highest level, My High Expectations was retired with 34 wins and 28 placings from 107 starts for earnings of $482,505.
My High Expectations is available via prominent New South Wales-based stud Medowie Lodge.
