WHILE flying through the air concession driver Michelle Phillips had a pretty Aussie reaction.
Phillips was partnering Crocrock in the seventh event at Kilmore last night when he began to pull in front before eventually choked down and crashing to the ground.
The momentum catapulted Phillips out of the sulky before hitting the ground hard and being knocked unconscious as a result.
“Oh shit! That’s the last thing I recall thinking,” Phillips said. “After that I don’t remember a thing until being in the ambulance and them saying they have to cut off my pants because of my back.
“I don’t recall hitting the ground or even being put in the ambulance.
“I do remember my horse pulling hard and choking, then I was in the air and that’s about it.”
Taken to hospital for observation, Phillips is due to be released this afternoon.
Although suffering a concussion and back pain, Phillips is lucky to escape the accident relatively unharmed.
“From what I have been told I flew about 10 metres before hitting the ground,” Phillips said.
“I’ve got a concussion and sore back, but it is muscular and no severe damage.
“I am pretty lucky not to have broken anything.
“I’m heading home in about an hour but not sure how long I will be away from driving as I can’t walk properly at this stage, so it is a matter of just resting and getting right again.”
