TALENTED siblings Treachery and Petracca are poised to complete a family double during the weekend.
Prepared by leading trainer Emma Stewart, the pacers are favoured to score at Tabcorp Park Melton on Saturday night.
Unbeaten from three starts this season, Treachery is being primed for a Queensland campaign.
The four-year-old’s targets will include the Group One The Golden Girl and the Fleur De Lil Stake.
The events are scheduled to be conducted at Albion Park next month.
“I’m contemplating taking her to Queensland over the winter,” Stewart said. “There are some nice mares’ races during their carnival for her to aim at.
“I’ll be taking a few others such as Tough Tilly and Beyond Delight up and she may go with them.
“She hasn’t set a hoof wrong this campaign and she’s earned another shot at a feature or two.
“With any luck she can also make her way into The Rising Sun up there as well.”
As for her pending assignment, the daughter of Captaintreacherous will begin from barrier five over 1720 metres.
“The draw can be a little difficult, but she has the class to overcome it,” Stewart said.
Later on the card Treachery’s younger brother will also compete over 1720 metres in what is his first appearance since winning the Shakamaker Classic by 40 metres at the same venue on April 2.
To be driven by Nathan Jack, Petracca will come from gate four.
“He’s had a good break and has been working great,” Stewart said. “He is ready to go, but whatever he does on the weekend, he will certainly improve on.”
