This rebel has a cause
HIS namesake may not have had a cause, but at Albion Park tomorrow night he will.
Set to contest the fifth race on the card, James Dean will be out to rebel against his opponents for New South Wales trainer KerryAnn Morris.
Successful at the same venue a fortnight ago, James Dean has drawn to return to the winners’ circle from barrier four.
The son of Santanna Blue Chip will be driven by local reinsman Grant Dixon.
“It’s a good draw for him,” Morris said. “He had no luck from the back row last week and has a much better chance on Saturday night.
“He will go forward from there and hopefully get into a good position early.
“His work during the week has been fine and he is ready to run another good race.”
James Dean is part of a small team Morris has taken north, with five members of the stable competing throughout the program.
Morris had seven engaged but had to scratch a couple.
“They just had minor setbacks,” Morris said. “The others which are racing will all be competitive, with Hot Flush one of the better chances.
“She has been consistent without winning and should get her chance from the draw.”
With Nathan Dawson to take the reins, Hot Flush is a $3.20 to break a four-month drought from the winners’ circle from barrier two.
“She should get into a good position early and this is one of her better chances to get a win on the board,” Morris said.
