Group One winner remains unbeaten

SEVERAL majors, including an interstate campaign, are on Treachery’s agenda.

Returning from a six-month spell in Bendigo last night, Treachery maintained her perfect record from three starts.

Treachery’s first two outings were at Globe Derby where she completed a clean sweep of The Allwood, including a 37-metre demolition of the Group One Final.

The targets trainer Emma Stewart has selected for the filly include a trip back to Globe Derby for the Southern Cross Series in December.

Closer to home the daughter of Captaintreacherous will also be aimed at the Vicbred Super Series, which culminates with the Final at Tabcorp Park Melton on New Year’s Eve.

“There are quite a few good options for her,” Stewart said. “Beginning with the Tatlow next month.

“She was given plenty of time off after The Allwood and it has done her the world of good.

“She’s grown and matured a little and we’ve brought her back to get her ready for the Tatlow and then go from there.”

Driven by Greg Sugars during her latest triumph Treachery was given time to settle into her stride from barrier six before being sent forward to sit outside the leader, Eva Mateo, at the bell.

Proving too strong during the latter stages Treachery completed a metre-and-a-half win from Eva Mateo, with Cashflow Cassie seven-and-a-half metres away third.

With the last half covered in 54.3 seconds, the two-year-old rated 1:57.6 over 2150 metres.

“She was pretty forward going into last night, but the run will do her the world of good,” Stewart said. “It was a good solid run and she will be better next time around.”
