It’s like déjà vu all over again

ANOTHER trip to Club Menangle, another tough draw and another win – that’s what is predicted for Cash N Flow on Saturday night.

While the victory still has to be achieved, the rampaging seven-year-old has received another difficult barrier at the world class venue.

Winner of his last eight starts around the 1400-metre circuit, Cash N Flow has not only scored from barriers eight, nine and 10 since March 14, he has done so in impressive fashion.

Along with a pair of 1:50.1 and 1:50.2 victories, the son of Mach Three has stopped the clock in 1:49.6, 1:49.7 and 1:49.8.

Cash N Flow covered the 1609-metre trip in 1:50.6 during his latest win three weeks ago.

As for his pending assignment, the Craig Cross-trained gelding will once again come from gate 10 over the sprint.

Cash N Flow is one of five runners Cross has in the field, with Replaced Eye considered the biggest danger.

Replaced Eye broke a string of placings with a 1:50.7 triumph a fortnight ago

“Cash N Flow has had a good freshen-up and is ready to go,” Cross said. “He never really had much time off.

“It was more just keeping him ticking along quietly on the training track.

“I can’t see him having much trouble in that field as it is pretty much the same as he has been beating.

“Replaced Eye is going well and will make a race of it.”

In other news from the Cross stable, Miracle Mile champion King Of Swing is poised to return to racing next week.

That doesn’t mean the millionaire will clash with Cash N Flow as Cross plans to keep the pair separate for now.

“The plan has always been to race Cash N Flow every couple of weeks and that won’t be changing any time soon,” Cross said.

“King Of Swing will be back next week with he and Cash N Flow to race on alternate weeks.”
