AS HER Inter Dominion preparation ‘ramps up’ outstanding mare Pink Galahs should have little more than a walk in the park during the weekend.

To be more precise, the park is Tabcorp Park Melton, where Pink Galahs is expected to exert less sweat than track work on Saturday night.

In what is a major drop in class for the Matthew Craven-trained trotter, Pink Galahs – a 120 National Rating performer – will compete against restricted class rivals as low as 45!

The $20,000 event is open to all four-year-olds.

A last start winner of the Group One Bill Collins Sprint, Pink Galahs will begin from barrier six.

“She is going into this fresh,” Craven said. “She’s drawn wide, but it’s only a small field and a drop on what she has been racing.

“This race and a free-for-all next week are a good chance to get a couple of runs into her before the Inter Dominion.”

Opening heats of the time honour Championship are scheduled to be conducted at Club Menangle on November 27.

The $150,000 Final will be staged at the world class venue a fortnight later.
