Team Towers in for busy day

ASTUTE horsewoman Kerry Towers is in for a busy – and hopefully triumphant – time at Club Menangle today.

Preparing a consistent boutique stable, Towers cuts a regular path to the winners’ circle, including at Club Menangle last week.

Towers was successful with Wills Way, which led throughout from barrier five as a $1.75 favourite.

With Robbie Morris in the cart, Wills Way stopped the clock in 1:54 over a mile to notch his 14th victory.

The son of Somebeachsomewhere is once again a member of the huge ‘Team Towers’ competing at the world class venue this afternoon.

In fact, Wills Way is one of three Towers runners in race seven!

Morris will take the reins behind the gelding which has drawn wide in barrier six.

Hykeepmeposted has fared best of the trio, with the son of Poster Boy to begin from gate four with Blake Hughes in the cart.

Hughes partnered Hykeepmeposted to score in 1:56.7 at Club Menangle on June 30.

Talented concession reinswoman Grace Panella will drive Explosive Bronski from barrier eight, with the gelding chasing his second win in his last five starts.

Explosive Bronski has been among the placegetters in two of his three outings since proving too good at Club Menangle on July 7.

Earlier on the card Towers’ assault will begin with Should Beabarca and Itzfergietime in the second event.

Should Beabarca is searching for a drought-breaking win from barrier three, having last tasted success in December 2025.

No driver was listed for the son of Major Bronski as this edition went to press, however, Panella was booked to combine with Itzfergietime from barrier four.

With four placings from her last five starts, Itzfergietime is desperate to complete an overdue triumph.

Racing in stellar form, Watts Up The Hill is the one to beat for prominent horseman Rickie Alchin.

Boasting three wins from her last five starts – including her last two outings – Watts Up The Hill is favoured to complete the hat-trick from barrier five.

Towers will then harness up four of the 10 runners in the following event, with Dream To Dance drawing best in barrier two.

Panella will once agsin be in action behind Dream To Dance, which is chasing her first win since scoring in Newcastle on September 9, 2024.

Robbie Morris is booked to drive Mickey Be Nimble from barrier six, with Captain Will and I Am Ravishing to be partnered by Vaughan Duncan and Hughes from gates nine and 10.

Last, but not least, is Will I Am, which has a prime opportunity from barrier four in a wide open affair.

Morris will reunite with the son of Bettors Delight, having driven him to glory in Newcastle on May 11.

Will I Am was an eye-catching fourth at Club Menangle from an awkward draw, but gets his chance go notch his 14th win this time around.
