Ten reasons to head to APG Sale
THOSE looking for a reason to buy at Sunday’s Australian Pacing Gold Sale in Sydney…here are 10!
That’s how many APG Sales graduates are set to contest Group Ones at Club Menangle on Saturday night.
The first of the ‘Terrific Ten’ is perhaps the most unique of the bunch – Drop The Hammer.
Bred to be a pacer, Drop The Hammer has developed into one of the nation’s top trotters.
Finalist in the 2017 APG Final as a pacer, Drop The Hammer was converted to a squaregaiter as a late three-year-old and lists three Group Twos among his 24 wins.
Having mentioned three-year-olds, six APG purchases are engaged in the New South Wales Derby…including the three heats winners.
The trio – Tasty Delight, Patsbeachstorm and Idyllic – also head the TAB Fixed Odds market for the Blue Riband.
Tasty Delight, Patsbeachstorm and Idyllic will be joined in the Classic by Captain Crusader, Jacks Hawk and Electric Eye.
Multiple Group One winners Turn It Up and Max Delight will be out to add another top shelf event to their tally in the Ainsworth Free-For-All.
Last, but certainly not least, Expensive Ego is primed for the $1million Miracle Mile.
Expensive Ego earned his berth in Australasia’s premier sprint by capturing the prestigious Chariots Of Fire a fortnight ago.
Boasting 12 wins and two seconds from 16 starts, Expensive Ego is already a triple Group One winner.
