WAYNE and DANI HILL
Annoying sister cuts joy in half

ANYONE with a sister knows how pesky they can be….especially younger ones.
So imagine the pain leading driver Wayne Hill feels given his sister is inspirational reinswoman Dani.
One of the darlings of the industry throughout Australia, Dani has a knack of getting in Wayne’s way…which she did again last night – twice!
In what was a successful evening at Globe Derby, Wayne registered a double thanks to Bezza and Bottle Rock.
Had it not been for Dani’s peskiness, Wayne would have completed a quartet…a factor not missed on social media.
“A couple of ripping races between @danihillracing and @waynehillracing with the latter missing out by a lip both times…Bloody sisters!” Steve Salter wrote.
Wayne’s reply summed it up perfectly “Yep mine’s pretty annoying”.
Partnering The Cullector, Dani scored by a head from the Wayne-driven Joes A Character before repeating the dose with Mircometeor which was triumphant by a short half-head from It Aint The Money.
“A metre was the difference between a double and quartet,” Wayne said. “Dani got in my way twice which is what made the difference.
“We get along really well, but when it comes to racing we are super competitive and don’t give each other an inch.”
On a brighter side, Bottle Rock’s victory was his first for his massive group of owners, many of which are first timers.
Runner-up at his Australian debut a month earlier, Bottle Rock rated 2:01.5 over 2230 metres to account for Full Hand and Falcons Beauty.
“He seems like another good but for Aaron (Bain, trainer) and the crew,” Wayne said. “That was only his second run since February and first for nearly four weeks so he is bound to improve.
“The group should have a bit of fun with him.”
