CLASSY mare Nikki Louise is expected to have little trouble extending her perfect Victorian record during the weekend.

Joining Emma Stewart’s stable from Western Australia, Nikki Louise has won her three eastern starts in effortless fashion.

Nikki Louise’s victories include a demolition of last week’s Ken ‘Snowy’ Chapman Memorial in Kilmore against similar opposition to her pending assignment.

This time around the daughter of Art Major will compete in Ballarat after the meeting was transferred from Tabcorp Park Melton due to the Covid-19 situation.

“She has been faultless since she got here,” Stewart said. “There is no way you could ask for more from her.

“Whether it is on the training track or at the races, she gives it her all.

“Obviously we have been very impressed by her three runs and expect her to continue making her way up the grades.

“She has the potential to go a long way.”

To be driven by premier reinswoman Kate Gath, Nikki Louise has drawn to lead throughout from barrier four.

Early markets have reacted by listing the four-year-old as a $1.60 favourite, with Still Hungover considered the main danger at $6 from gate seven.

“She’ll be going forward from that draw,” Stewart said. “There is some strong form around her with some handy types in the field, but she’s going to be hard to beat.”
