CONSISTENT pacer Hesa Bit Different is expected to have little trouble continuing his way through the grades when he heads to Globe Derby tomorrow night.
A last start winner at the same venue Hesa Bit Different boasts two victories and two seconds from his last four outings.
With the son of Artistic Fella drawn to settle forward during his pending assignment, trainer Darren Billinger is positive Hesa Bit Different will take another step up in class.
To be driven by Billinger, the four-year-old is listed as a $1.75 favourite from barrier four.
“I’m very happy with the way he is coming along,” Billinger said. “He’s in strong form and I can’t see any reason why he won’t be able to get the job done again.
“We’ll definitely be going forward looking for the lead from there.
“Given the way he is going he should be ready to step up to Saturday night racing soon.”
Citing Speak Easy as the one to beat, Billinger is also wary of talented but wayward pacer Yankee Clipper.
Fifth when first-up from a spell a fortnight ago, Speak Easy will begin from gate three.
Yankee Clipper has drawn barrier seven due to his ODM status.
“Speak Easy went well at his first run back and is sure to improve,” Billinger said. “He’s also drawn to get a good trip.
“Yankee Clipper can do things wrong, but on his best behaviour he should be right in this.”
