PREMIERSHIP winning reinswoman Tiana McMahon registered a personal milestone at Globe Derby last night.
South Australia’s top concession driver last season, McMahon recorded her 100th win when successful behind Bettor Beontoit.
A thrilled McMahon declared reaching the ton was the goal she set for herself at the beginning of the term.
“At the start of the year I set my 100th win as the target,” McMahon said. “To reach that goal is a terrific feeling and something I’m pretty proud of.
“I couldn’t have done it without the support of so many trainers, owners and most of all my wonderful partner Robbie (Caton).
“Now I’ll have to start working on the next 100!”
Beginning quickly to lead throughout from barrier six, Bettor Beontoit scored by six-and-a-half metres from the favourite, Clarenden Enjoy.
Sutter Man was four metres away third.
Prepared by Heather Stevens, the six-year-old rated 1:57.4 over 1800 metres.
“His form has been solid since he came to Heather and he did a good job again,” McMahon said.
“Once he got to the front he was always going to be hard to beat and he hit the line with a bit up his sleeve.”
